How we do it…

We use years of professional expertise and state-of-the-art, fully color-calibrated scanners, cameras, monitors and printers to produce color-accurate reproductions of the highest quality.

Important Steps:

But getting an exact reproduction is as much an art as it is science. All systems have limitations in capturing, displaying, and printing the full color gamut. The palette of color of oil, acrylic, colored pencil, pastels and watercolors can greatly exceed the range of any archival ink set. With the artist’s assistance, we make any adjustments necessary to produce an exact, as possible, replica of the original within the visual perception of the combined eyes of the artist and our staff. Can you see the test strips in these two art images?

When the printed canvas strip laid over the original canvas painting disappears into the image, color match is verified before printing an accurate reproduction

Our goal is produce archival, hand-crafted, museum-quality reproductions that cannot be distinguished from the original.

Selected-area prints and test strips of the digital image are printed repeatedly and placed on the original until there is no detectable difference in color or detail. This often requires several steps to assure that any necessary adjustments are made.

By printing on the same media the artist chooses for reprints and using the same durable pigments and printer, the artist can be assured accurate reproductions now and in the future.

Once the artist authorizes production on the media and the sizes are selected, the reprints are produced and compared with the original. The artist can then proceed to sell the original and have several limited-edition reprints available for sale as well.
